My Blackbirds Are Bluebirds Now
By Dave Kerr

Dear Colin,
Catching up on last week's Digests, that title rang a bell and there it
was on the Duo-Art shelf. It was written for Broadway's "Whoopee" of 'Makin'
Whoopee!' fame by Cliff Friend, is copyrighted 1928, was recorded by Frank
Milne under his pseudonym Ralph Addison and issued in December of 1928. A
$1.25 Fox-Trot and Song-Roll (lyrics), my D-A #0587 is stamp-dated at the
end, 11-28. Perhaps it has already been re-cut; I'd like to know as mine is
preparing to self-destruct and it is a typically snappy Milne roll.

cheers, Dave Kerr <sprocket@orc.ca>
