Thank you for for listing my question involving wanting standards or
tolerances to the dimension of tracker bars. I received several responses.
No one seems to know anything about what was agreed to in approximately 1909
for player piano tracker bars except for the 9 holes per inch. I had hoped
that at least most tracker bars were manufactured to, for example, the same
height and curve dimensions. This would have made it much more easy to
create a valve interface device that would attach directly to a tracker bar.

I appreciate Bob Ricco's 7/30/97 request for information from anyone that has
tried to manufacture a valve interface device that would attach to the piano
through the tracker bar? Has any one been successful? What unforseen
problems were there? I would appreciate any information I could receive on
this.
