Jewish Music Rolls
By Larry Greenfield

[ Larry, you sent this to <rollreq@foxtail.com>, which is normally
[ for administrative matters, but it sounds like you meant it for
[ <rolls@foxtail.com>, the address for letters to be published.
 [ Hope I'm correct. -- Robbie

Shalom -- It is nice to see so many people express an interest in these
rolls. QRS in the 20s and 30s made a lot of ethnic rolls, and perhaps
they have a back catalogue that they could share. Perhaps someone close
to them in Buffalo could call the owner -- Mr. Berkowitz?.

The idea of recutting rolls for any ethnic group is fascinating. So much
interesting music is out there. Perhaps a chat conference to start with,
of those interested in the Jewish rolls, in order to develop plans for
recutting, by whom, where, and price to buy, etc.

I will call the Yiddish Book Museum to see if they have an interest in
acting as a repository of Jewish/Yiddish music. Some Jewish music is
secular and some is for the various holidays.

Thanks
Larry Greenfield
