Violano Strings
By Ed Gloeggler

There are as many opinions about Violano strings as there are Violano owners.

Two gentlemen sell strings for the Violano by mail, and I have experience
with both who are reliable.

Mr. Terry Haughawout manufactures and markets replacement parts for just
about every white metal part in the machine. He also makes replacement
gears, cast iron piano frames, magnets and wiring harnesses.

      560 Garfield Street
      Bloomdale, OH 44817

Mr. Ralph Schultz also sells a set of strings. I believe he sent a set
of "Pirastro Chromcor" strings, which are the same as used on a regular
violin. They sound very good. Ralph also manufactures or rebuilds the
Violano Bow Wheels. His wheels sound just as the originals did, in my
opinion.

      Mr. Ralph Schultz
      420 State Street West
      Belle Plaine MN 56011

I believe the strings are about $40 for the set and the bow wheels are $250
for a set of four.
