Roll Cutter Machinery in New Zealand
By David Chisholm

Hi, responding to Robert Perry's enquiry about a machine for sale in NZ,
whether it is complete, a Leabarjan or not, I would be tempted to buy it
anyway at whatever price, as it is likely to have been the one used for
cutting the Reliance brand rolls made in NZ, and as such is a unique
historical item.

I am uncertain if there were other brands made in NZ. Michael W.,
do you know? Reliance was the only one I heard anyone mention...

Based on the makeup of my collection, most rolls sold in NZ carried QRS,
Mastertouch, Broadway, Aeolian Themodist or Universal labels. I have
just one Reliance (roll only) in my collection: No. 125, "The All Blacks",
a patriotic Rugby supporters song! And another Reliance (box only):
No. 167, "Thinking" waltz, which came with the wrong roll in it!!
*** I hate it when that happens! ***

Did any Reliance brand rolls make it overseas, to Australia perhaps?
