Research on Encore and Peerless
By Dick Bueschel

Foolish me, here I have he finest research resource in the world and I
haven't been using it. It's important to me now as I have just been
diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, so my time to do my music book
is limited and I have to move things along.

How many ENCORE BANJO machines still exist? How many different models?
Do any of the pre-pneumatic versions survive?

Same questions for the original PEERLESS pianos, the very early ones?
How many?

Are there any interior photos of San Francisco's Cliff House in
existence, showing the original music machines in place? I have a photo
of the outside with a big wooden fence (adjoining the building close to
the front portico to protect people from the cliff), and there is a large
advertisement for a piano on it.

My unreserved fondness for MMD continues unabated. What a treasure this
all is.
