There's a great tune that Carl Stallings used in Warner Bros. cartoons
every time the action involved sports...I've even heard it in very early
Warner cartoons (early 1930's), pre-Bugs, Daffy, & the rest.  As near
as I can figure out, the tune is called "Freddy the Freshman" (the
freshest guy in town).

I'm guessing the song dates from mid to late 1920's, when things
"collegiate" were all the rag in music & film. Does anyone know if
this song ever made it to piano roll?
