Muffler for Turbine Box
By Larry Mayo

I am currently working on a build-up nickelodeon using the Monarch piano
that I mentioned in previous postings. I want to build a muffler for the
turbine box that will do a good job of muffling the PPCo turbine I have.

Does anybody have plans, or built one that really does a good job? I had
originally thought about using the pedal trap as a place to put a flat
one, but I'm concerned that a large, flat box will actually increase the
noise. I have also thought of lining the muffler with a heavy coat of
Dow silicone RTV compound as a sound deadener. Does anybody have any tips
that might help me out?

Also, what ever happened to MSI, I think, of Lubbock, Texas. I got an
O-Roll mechanism from them ages ago, but heard nothing since.
