I also started rebuilding players when I was 12.  My family owned a
music store and the music store now owns me.

I think today's young technician is facing several problems, one of
which is the lack of the public interest in these old player
instruments.  On the plus side there is more good information available
to a rebuilder today than there was in the early 1960's.  The 1970's
were some of the best years in my opinion for the player rebuilder and
collector.  Prices soared into the mid seventies and then started to
wane in the late seventies.

Today is a good time to buy a player and hopefully start a new
generation of player enthusiasts.
