Pouch Leather for Theme Valves
By Thomas Henden

Does anyone know where to buy small quantities of tan pouch leather,
usable for the theme valves in the Duo-Art expression box? Player
Piano Co., where I buy my stuff, sells only a set of pre-cut pouch
circles, or half or full skin tan pouch leather. That means if I want
just two or three pouches larger than the precut ones from PPCo, I must
buy a lot more of the expensive leather, half or full skin.

I was suggested by Durrell Armstrong to use one of the thicker leathers,
since the thickness of this wouldn't be a problem due to the larger
pouch size. I thought that the thickness anyway would slow the valves
down.

Should I dare to use anything other than tan pouch leather, like the
books recommend? Would those skins last as long as tan pouch leather,
or will they wear more at the pouch edge because of the larger
thickness?

Sincerely
Thomas Henden, Norway.
