An MMD Christmas
By Joyce Brite

'Twas the night before Christmas,
And of through the 'Net,
Not a server was stirring,
Folks were starting to fret.

Foxtail had taken an early vacation,
Causing Jody much frustration.
The MMD could not be sent,
A problem he could not prevent.

Just as Jody was about to cry,
He saw some objects in the sky.
Eight Rangifer tarandus, normal kind,
And one with a huge red nose that shined.

The corpulent gent driving the team,
Was dressed in red with a face that beamed.
He landed his sleigh in Jody's yard.
Something his neighbors thought quite bizarre-d

"You've been good all year; here's your gift.
But I need a forklift to give it a lift."
It was the biggest computer he'd ever seen,
Even Bill Gates with envy was green.

It had ten zillion gigabytes memory,
With every desired option for free.
"I put a bonus in your stocking.
A band organ to keep the whole place rocking."

"And I didn't forget your friend Robbie,
Who does the editing part of the job-by.
He makes it happen night after night,
Preparing the digest for your delight."

"For Robbie, a piano that's always in tune,
That can easily be moved from room to room.
It also compacts and fits in a bag,
And re-expands so he can play rags."

As the red-clad man remounted his sleigh,
Jody and Robbie heard him say,
Speeding off in the starry night,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good byte."

Happy Holidays,

Joyce Brite
