Actually, George, I did _not_ write that.  When I sent my submission to
the MMD, it read:

   "It is alright to criticize someone's opinion, but it is
    _not_ alright to criticize the person...."

I was surprised when I saw that a change had been made.  I could
understand if "alright" were changed to the more appropriate "all
right," but the edited sentence read awkwardly.  I further noted that a
paragraph break had been inserted at an inappropriate place in my
article, adding to the obfuscation.

Let me restate my thoughts in a different manner:  Criticize the
opinion, not the person.  And, avoid personal attacks and sarcasm such
as:

   Robbie, you'll have to quit editing when you're asleep!  <irony>
