Seek Transfer Decals for Mignon Organette
By Hans van Oost

I have just finished the restauration of a 1904 Mignon organette,
style II (double reeds), with a "piano" model case. It was in a
terrible condition when I got it, so in the restoring of the chest
all the transparents were lost except the one on the front, but that
one is not in a good condition either. I would like the organette
not only musically good, but a beauty on the outside as well.

Does anyone know if these transparents are still being made, or
anybody who has a set of them?

Hans van Oost, Holland (Europe, not Mich.)

[ I know what you mean, but I had to go through a few dictionaries
 [ to find the English: decalcomania (F) = das Abziehbild (D) =
[ transfer (GB). "Transfer decalcomania" or "decal" should be okay
[ until we learn the common word from our restorers. -- Robbie
