Composer-played Welte Rolls
By Jan Kijlstra

The Dutch Player Piano Museum did ask me to ask all readers of this
Digest:

Do you have, or know of, any Welte-rolls on which composers do play
their own compositions? They do ask so, because they started a
project: "composers play their own work on the piano".

They want to produce CD's from these rolls, using one of the
instruments of the museum. They already did bring out a set of two
CD's. (I did ask them for information, so I might be able to inform
you soon about this set.) They do have "a few" rolls at hand, but
would like to know if there are important rolls missing.

The museum is not having an Internet-connection. However, one of the
directors does have an e-mail- address: tvega@xs-4all.nl. His name is
Tjeerd Vergeer. You can send your information directly to him. I
would be pleased to receive a carbon copy (kijlstra@worldaccess.nl)

As will be the Digest, I suppose.

Bye, Jan Kijlstra
