Virtual Wurlitzer Organ
By Allan Merralls

I have a SoundBlaster card that allows me to change the sounds that a
Midi file plays. If I could get them, I could install theater organ
sounds; so, day-dreaming along those lines, I invented the Virtual
Wurlitzer.

I plug a keyboard into the MIDI input and the computer screen has rows
of stop tabs than can be accessed with the mouse, and along the bottom
of the screen is a row of preset pistons.

So for those of you frittering away your time with trivial things like
UNIX and giant servers, you now have a challenge: make a virtual
Wurlitzer!

(The mailing list is great and the people running it are doing us all a
wonderful service!!!)

[ The Virtual Console you describe is just what I need for my
[ Virtual Fair Organ. But soon I must get to the Reality !
[ I'm glad you enjoy MMD; authors like you keep it lively. ;) -- Robbie
