Robbie,  While not a good medium to listen to stereo hi-fi sounds
through, as yet, your readers may be interested in some of the sounds

As you say, music boxes are very difficult to record, but all these
recordings were done on a Nakamichi recorder and processed using
WaveLab on a PC.  The tune from the piano is one of ten recorded for a
40 minute CD.  We will be changing the tune on this page on a regular
basis, and possibly adding more.
