Solenoid Players and Push-up Players
By Len Railsback

As I am a recent subscriber to the, MMD, I look forward to my morning
e-mail. A busy holiday schedule has kept me from responding to earlier
MMD letters.

In answer to EdLawNg@aol.com request for information on installation
of solenoid {computer controlled} system to his grand. Yamaha's
Disklavier is available in their piano.

PianoDisc has a complete retrofit system but can only be bought from
dealers or registered installation technicians. Cost of complete
system around $3,500 and depending on area installation from $850 to
$1,100. Pianomation is a less expensive system and is available through
ORS, Buffalo, NY. or Story and Clark piano dealers.

Both Disklavier and PianoDisc are MIDI oriented and can be operated
through computer MIDI files. Hope this is some help.

To Erik Lempi in regards to push-up players. Most push-ups were of
early vintage and roll sizes had not been standardized. I have seen
43-note, 48-note and lots of 65-note rolls. I have a number of 65-note
rolls for sale at #2.00 each. I also have for sale a Melville Clark
Apollo 58-note push-up with 70 rolls for $700 for players and rolls.

If I can be of any further information in regards to either topic let
me hear from you.
