In MMD 980423, Hal Estry mentions a product called an Airpot dashpot
in response to my posting in MMD 980422.  I tried an Airpot dashpot
product called a "snubber" to dampen the return of the sustain
mechanism on my PianoDisc 128+.  Definitely a nifty gizmo, but I chose
the Ace shock absorber for the following reasons:

1.  Although adjustable, the Airpot device did not offer sufficient
resistance to permit the dampers to return to the strings quietly.

2.  The Ace shock absorber has a threaded body and was very easy to
install and adjust.
