Last night I was speaking to my Californian friend Ed Sprankle on the
transatlantic horn.  He told me that he is preparing a list of rolls
that he is going to auction soon.  It will be a postal auction -- Ed
sets a deadline for bids and the highest bidder by the closing date
gets the goodies.

From past experience Ed's lists contain an interesting variety of roll
formats -- reproducers, 88-note, 65-note, A-rolls etc. etc. -- and the
musical content is usually heavy on ragtime/jazz/blues/hot dance music.
Some basket cases are offered free of charge.

Ed is not on-line yet but I understand that he has seen the light and
is about to rectify that omission.  If you would like to get on his
