A few days back there was some discussion about Ampico B Jumbo rolls
etc.  I meant to jump in but figured someone else would mention this.

The jumbo rolls were made to fit the B Ampico spool box.  However, not
all "jumbo" rolls were that big and Klavier Music Rolls, when owned by
the Powells, offered some of these smaller jumbo rolls in a jumbo box
but on a special spool that was bigger than the large Ampico spool but
smaller than the jumbo spool.  These spools will fit in an Ampico A
spoolbox.  I expect that Keystone Music Rolls (Richard Groman), who now
has all the Klavier masters and perforators, probably offers the same
option.

There are a few jumbo rolls that won't fit on these special spools but
many will.  I have an electric drive in my model A Ampico and enjoy
these longer play Ampico rolls frequently.  I expect that most of the
Ampico buffs already know this but hope it clarifies a point for some
of the newcomers.
