Hi All,  I know this is a bit redundant but what I really want to
know is how do I get rid of it!  Just masking the odor with scents or
perfumes is a great temporary fix but I'm looking for something
permanent.

My thoughts, based on the responses so far, is that nobody knows what
it is actually is.  Based on what it looks like and the way it seems to
'grow', I think it's mildew, which is a fungus.

Maybe I should do as I did with the infested grand action and take it
to Rutgers for analysis.  I'm just a bit surprised that no one in this
forum knows what it is or how to get rid of it.  Maybe I'll put a
little bit of it under my microscope but then I have no idea what a
fungus looks like ... close up.

Thanks for all the leads to cover-ups but that's not what I'm after.
