"Qualite' Excelsior" Small Music Box
By Todd Augsburger

Thanks to Bill Wineburgh and others, I've a much better idea about what
I have. Thanks.

But now I have a new curiosity: Upon closer inspection I find that
there are 3 sets of numbers (hand scribed), followed by a script
letter, on both the end of the cylinder and again on the casting below
the comb. They are 7530 | 7545 | 7137 E (or L). Now, I'd guess that
since there are three airs and 3 numbers, they must be numbers of the
tunes/arrangements.

But can someone tell me why they would be marked in both places?
Were they made separately, or in quantity, and then matched? Or what?
(Forgive my ignorance, if it shows. I'm using this as a learning
experience!)

Does someone collect this type of information for archival purposes?
Otherwise, I'll just file it away in my own records ...
