This was published as I wrote it, though the paragraphs were grouped
into blocks of text.  (I did not write the preface so the "over fifty
years" should have been "almost fifty years" or "forty-six years" to be
completely accurate.)

MMD readers might enjoy reading how modern technologies blend into my
Leabarjan perforating techniques, especially since magnetic tape music
-- for reference and analysis -- figured into my work all the way back
to the vacuum tube days of the early 'Fifties!

I tried to write the replies to interest those readers who are outside
of the player-piano sphere, since this Internet feature focuses on New
England businesses and their use of computers.
