Lawnmowers and Leather Drives
By Don Teach

I had an Ariens lawn mower and bought rubber tire after rubber tire.
I finally started buy them four or more at a time. I have a yard
with hills that just ate those rubber drive tires. I got rid of the
lawnmower and now use a Honda riding mower. I have to keep replacing
the little plastic wheels on the mover housing but have finally started
making my own wheels. The original ones are hollow and mine are now
solid.

So therefore I believe leather is still the best drive material for
your Wurlitzer machines. I also use leather on my Nelson-Wiggin.

[ Huh? You didn't make a comparative test. Is a rubber tire
[ better or worse than a leather tire on the Ariens lawnmower
[ drive? And which works better on the Nelson-Wiggen drive?
