Ordering Piano Supplies
By Scott Olson

I have been holding back a little on the parts discussion I feel
that a technician should be consulted. I have sold parts before, but
I don't any more, because lots of people

 - Order parts and then don't pick them up;

 - Pay for them and then want their money back because they were the
wrong parts;

 - Get them, then look at the part and say "I can make that," and then
won't take them;

 - Want one of something that I have to order 100 of, and I have no use
for the other 99 !

I don't need the hassle!

However, if you cultivate a friendship with a tech interested in MMD
stuff, maybe you will get a lot of bonuses regarding service, tuning,
etc. I think it is wrong to try to buy wholesale if you are not really
in business. I have to pay out a lot of fees and extra taxes to be in
business. I barely make a living, but I love what I do. Things like
this chip away a little on the income for a technician like me, and
I am amazed at what lengths people will go to, to save a few dollars.

Just my opinion ...
