Printing Music Manuscript from MIDI Files

Hi Tom, Yes, It's possible, and lots of guys have fun at it.

I use Encore (Passport Designs, Inc.) on the Macintosh; I think they
have a similar program for Windows. The output isn't as fancy as
Finale can produce, but Encore is easy to learn, affordable, and more
than adequate for most folks.

You don't get pretty manuscript just from pushing the button, though
(using Finale or Encore or any manuscript program). It takes quite a
bit of manual editing, since a piano performance is typically more
staccato (or legato) than it's written, and piano rolls have non-metric
patterns (syncopation, etc.) sprinkled about.

But give it a try -- I think you'll enjoy it!

Cheers,

Robbie Rhodes
