Query: 88 Note Duo-Art Coding
By Tim Baxter

Dear MMD:

I am coding some classical music rolls for Duo-Art which, occasionally,
require those keys at either end of the keyboard which correspond to the
holes reserved for intensity levels. In the normal course, it would
seem that there is no way to utilize these holes/notes for a Duo-Art
performance.

However, I am aware that when you run the Duo-Art test roll, it is done
with the expression off.

1) Is there some way to get expression and still make these notes
     sound?

2) Could I, while the roll is playing, temporarily switch off the
Duo-Art at that portion where those notes sound (if this is the
solution, this would no longer be a commercially viable roll, but
    I'd be curious to know)?

3) Would setting it at the "intermediate" (i.e., as set for Themodist
rolls) setting permit those notes to sound? And, as with question
(2), can it be done quickly "on and off" during the roll performance?

Thanks,

Tim Baxter
