Hoyt metal, which was invented for the manufacture of organ pipes, is
also known as "two-ply" metal, as true "Hoyt" metal was manufactured
only by Hoyt. It's another [generic] term like Aspirin, Cellophane,
etc.
It is a layer of ordinary pipe metal coated with a layer of tin.
I don't know if it affects the tone much, but it 'shore looks purty'...
