Organs in the Cold
By Jan Kijlstra

Seen from a technical point of view, there is no reason why a street
organ should have problems under low temperature operation conditions.
After all, the differences between a church organ, even going back to
the times of Bach, and a mechanical organ, are relatively small when it
comes to producing sound.

And in those days a church was not heated at all, so any organ had to
operate in summer and winter, despite the temperature.

And they did and, very often, still are going.
