Mike Blackwell asked about removing the goo from piano keys left behind
by masking tape.

My suggestion is to try Eucalyptus Oil.  You only need to use a small
amount and as far as I know never harms any surface.   My wife has used
it many times on all types of surfaces.   It is great for removing
stickers and labels as well.
