Bill Shirley here.  First time MMD communicator, long time silent
observer.  I've enjoyed George Bogatko's cleaned up recordings
utilizing the DcArt (Diamond Cut Audio Restoration Tools) software
located at

I have a few Edison Diamond Disks (hill and dale) and would like to
utilize the DcArt software with them.

Question:  Do any of you phonograph experts in the MMD family know
of any reproducer/tone arm/cartridge that has been developed to
electronically reproduce the music recorded by the hill and dale
(vertical) method?  An original Edison reproducer that I have has a
heavily weighted floating element containing a permanently embedded
diamond stylus and I've rationalized that this weight must be necessary
to read the undulations in the groove floor of a disk recorded by the
hill and dale method.
