Vollkommenster Player Piano in Argentina
By Robbie Rhodes

Alejandro Pique' sent us two nice photos of his beautiful but unknown
player piano in Argentina. Gerhard Dangel-Reese, of Augustiner Museum,
Freiburg, is in contact with Pique', and they are seeking additional
identification within the piano.

Jody will place the photos soon at the MMD Pictures web site. It looks
like the piano is 9-channels-per-inch. I can't tell for sure if the
tracker bar is wood or brass. The Tempo and Rewind levers are both on
the left, along the controls strip in front of the keys; under the
pianolist's right hand are _six_ tall push buttons.

Thanks to Hans van Oost and Paul Johnson for also forwarding the letter
which was published last night (via Peter Coggins). I hope our readers
will view the photos at the web site; they should be visible this
weekend, after Jody returns.
