Stack Pouches in Weber 1922 PDA Grand
By Nigel Perry

A bit of advice, please. I've just taken the stack apart [Weber
1922 PDA Grand]. There is no sign of it having been taken apart
before. The rubber cloth on the pneumatics is remarkable "fresh"
but on close inspections there are pin holes at the folds, so the
whole lot is coming off!

The pouch leather is beautifully supple with no signs of wear or
damage. However, it is porous. It shows no sign of ever having
been sealed.

Is it okay to leave well alone or would it be better to seal it?
I have, in the past, sealed this leather for accordion pneumatics
with a 1-10 solution of white glue in water, this being very effective
as a seal and does not impair flexibility.

Any advice would be gratefully received.
