I used to search Yahoo for Mechanical Music things.  When I put in
the word "Ampico" either with or without the quotation marks, I would
always come up with dozens of listings.  Many of them referred to MMD
postings and many others referred to people's own private sites.

I also went "Ego Surfing" and used my own name for a search word,
using quotation marks, and I found about 50 listings all going to the
MMD, each referring to an article I had submitted.  Now my name doesn't
bring up anything.

Either Yahoo has down-sized, or something else is causing this.

 [ that Yahoo, like several other search engines, erroneously indexed
 [ the wrong site (www.foxtail.com) rather than mmd.foxtail.com.  The
 [ search engines should gradually find and index the new articles.

 [ Once we're done "face-lifting" the MMD web site we'll actively try
 [ to submit the site to the popular search engines.
