Jody,  Just to let you know that I am now getting my MMDigest okay.
I got your message asking me to introduce myself and have sent a reply
back.  Just in case you didn't get it I'll re-introduce myself.

I am on the management committee of the St. Albans Organ Museum (UK)
which has several large Dance Organs by Mortier, Decap and Bursens;
a Mills Violin Virtuoso; numerous musical boxes and organettes;
reproducing piano's; a 3/10 Wurlitzer and a 3/6 Spurden-Rutt theatre
organ (very rare).

The Museum is open every Sunday afternoon where the instruments are
demonstrated with a descriptive commentary but in a very informal and
relaxed way.

A friend and colleague of mine was Eric Cockayne (now deceased) who
wrote the publication "The Fairground Organ".  The book is soon to be
re-issued with updates and I would be pleased to let the MMD know when
and how it will be available when this happens.

I personally own an 84-key Mortier Orchestrion of 1927 era which has
a Van Wichelen / Bursens dance organ front with extensive percussion,
saxophone and an accordion.

Hope the above gives enough info about me; I can bore you with a lot
more if needed.
