Introduction
By Andy Saunders

I have been lurking here in deepest Suffolk UK for sometime now, and
I cannot include a entry without introducing my self first, so here
goes.

I am 37, married with two sons (11 and 14), a self-employed electronics
engineer working mainly on industrial control and power electronics
(CNC machines, DC drives & inverters, PLC's), mainly repair to
component level (normally without any diagrams!), and design and
programming.

My hobbies are sub-aqua diving in the North Sea, amateur radio (G8PPD),
and, of course ... At present, I am playing about with 15 ranks of
cinema organ (Christie/Compton) and trying to put in and finish the
barn in my garden before winter! And when that's finished several
players and an Aeolian grand need my attention!.

Please find my first submission to MMD (I am a bit keyboard shy),
I don't think this subject has been covered before.

Thanks,

Andy Saunders

[ Glad you're aboard, Andy. That's a fine article you wrote, and
[ it appears further on in the section with technical discussions.
[ Please tell us sometime about sub-aqua diving. Does that mean
[ a submarine is used, or are you somehow wriggling under the
[ ocean, 'sub aqua'? Do write again when the garden chores
 [ permit! -- Robbie
