FS: Freins For New Violin Pipes
By Ron Yost

Hello Friends! Don Rugh has had 800 violin/cello pipe freins made.
These are very similar to the ones Dave Wasson had produced. They are
0.032" thick brass, and are very nice looking, though they are not
'tumbled', so retain a little bit of burr from the punching operation.
Don decided not to have them tumbled so as to retain the bright
new-brass look. They are raw sheet brass, so do have light surface
scratches.

The 'blade' is a 'universal' width of 1-1/2", but it is simple to trim
it down to whatever smaller size is needed.

I have a JPEG picture file 'advertisement' showing them with all
dimensions. If anyone is interested, please write me and I will send
it to you via email. Or, perhaps Jody could place it in the Foxtail
archives?? :)

Don is selling them for U.S. $1 EACH. He is not on the Internet,
so has no email. Don can be reached at: (310) 546-2602 voice only.

So, if you're looking to make up a few ranks of violins or perhaps
some nice wooden cellos, these freins certainly will ease the process!

[ Sure, we'll place the jpeg image at the forthcoming Tech
[ section at the MMD web site. Please transmit the image file(s)
[ to Jody at <kravitz@foxtail.com> Thanks. -- Robbie
