Gentlemen:  I have been reading the thread of politically incorrect
lyrics on piano rolls and just wondered one thing.

Did J. Lawrence Cook, the grand master of arrangers, ever arrange such
a roll?  That would be a interesting thing to find out!

I would really appreciate knowing if Mr. Cook ever arranged a roll with
these type of lyrics.  If Cook had no problem with it, I don't see why
his peers would.  If he did, what would the forces-that-be be able to
say or denounce it?

I don't think anybody ever chained him to the old arranging piano and
forced him to do anything he didn't want to do.  (Whatever happened to
that old arranging machine anyway?)
