Dear All:  I am the proud new recipient of an O-roll buildup machine.
It was lent to me by Durrell Armstrong to help in the development of
new O-rolls.

As delivered, it had some problems, mostly do to with age, and some
to do with silliness.  (For instance, the solo instrument was tubed
two octaves too low, the mandolin rail was broken, and there was no
percussion expression).

At any rate, I've fixed most of the problems and am now faced with
repairs of the solo instrument -- an accordion.   All but four or five
of the notes sound.  Of the ones that don't, two have what appears to
be missing reeds (probably fell into the mechanism).   I know this
because I looked into the holes and can't see them -- I can see the
others.  The ones that remain are probably dirty.

Sooooo ... Who can fix such a thing?

P.S.  I've made some recordings of the machine and will put them on the
WWW page.   Watch for an announcement.

 [ In my experience (yes, I am an accordionist, but please don't tell
 [ anyone ;)  it would be best to dismount the instrument and take it
 [ to an accordion shop in the big city.  The repairman will chuckle
 [ and replace the bad reeds and flaps, and then he'll tune the reeds
 [ for you, which is a specialty akin to tuning a music box.
