With Stride Piano currently the vogue, MMDers might like to know of a
biography of Waller by his son Maurice.  Titled simply "Fats Waller",
it was published in 1978 by Cassell, London. ISBN 0 304 30033 0.  It
contains some gems and is quite moving as a son's tribute to his father.
I imagine that keener fans will already have read it, but I warmly
recommend it to those new to the subject. It's terrific.
