Key-Wind 12-Air Nicole Freres Music Box
By Brian Chesters

Hello MMD'ers. I have been offered a Nicole box which is Key wound
and must be very early. It is impressed with the F. Nicole mark and
the number 014750. The control levers are exposed on the left hand
side and there are three case screws to the front and (presumably)
three on the back.

It plays twelve tunes at two per turn, and the tunes are listed
on the handwritten sheet stuck to the lid. The case is 34 cm wide.
I have looked through the music box register in the MBSGB magazine and
the first two-per-turn recorded is 18616, which is 8 airs. The first
12-air is 18620.

My question is what year was it made? Does any one have any more
information on this box?

Please note my new e-mail address...
