MIDI Control for Ruth Organ vs. Tracker Bars
By Craig Smith

Bette, You should contact Don Scheetz who is a subscriber and MBSI
member, I think, as he can probably make you a new tracker bar in a lot
less time and for a lot less money than converting the organ. And
where would you get the MIDI music to play if you did convert.

Craig Smith

[ Bette Largent wrote, "the tracker bars need to be replaced as well
[ as the rolls." I suspect that the cost of replacing the tracker
[ bars is pale in comparison with the cost of replacement rolls (which
[ really should be new for full-time service with the carousel).
 [
[ Of course, transcribing the existent B.A.B. rolls and editing the
[ errors is about 70% of the work to recut the old rolls. So which
[ option should Bette elect? Re-cutting the old rolls and preserving
[ the Ruth-B.A.B. configuration might be feasible if there were
[ enough buyers for the set of recut B.A.B. rolls. -- Robbie
