Wurlitzer APP Rolls for Caliola
By Lloyd Osmundson

Hi Everybody, In MMD 980812 Tom Thompson asked about 65-note APP
Christmas rolls to play on his Stinson Caliola.

I have a Wurlitzer Caliola (with drums) that came with a Christmas
roll. It is an original roll with no tune label but it is stamped
6120 and wrote underneath Caliola 6120. The box is a replacement,
so no information available there. The tunes are the same as Jack
Conway listed in MMD 980814 under roll 0377, with the exception of
my #4 might be different (I can't remember) and I have a 6th tune:
"O Little Town Of Bethlehem."

The question I would like to have answered from all you band organ
experts out there: were/are Caliola rolls punched with longer holes
then the regular 65-note APP rolls to keep the pipes on longer?

The APP rolls I have heard play on a Caliola sound choppy. Please
give me your comments.
