Panharmonicon & Bishop's "Battle of Waterloo"
By Douglas Bush

Regarding recent correspondence on the Panharmonicon built by Maezel.

I believe that the Maezel Panharmonicon, originally built in 1805,
ended up in the Stuttgart Industrial Museum. It was unfortunately
destroyed during the Second World War. Twelve barrels are said to
survive.

Incidentally, there have been other Organs called 'Panharmonicon'. One
of these, built by Joseph Gurk of Vienna, played a piece called "Battle
of Waterloo" by Bishop.
