PianoLodeon Repair Details; Need Rolls
By John J. Breen

A number of years ago I picked up an old, non-functioning toy called a
PianoLodeon with 16 rolls made by J. Chein & Co. Tonight, I finally
got around to repairing it. The problem turned out to be Christmas
tree needles holding open the bleeder valves under the keyboard!
Does anyone have information about this device and approximately when
it was made? For those who have never seen one of these, it is a
small piano made of plastic, with 30 keys (only 23 are controlled by
the tracker bar). The sound comes from steel rods that are struck by
plastic hammers. My piano happens to be maroon in color. Finally,
does anyone know where I might be able to pick up more rolls?

[ This topic has come up before. I'm not sure that we've had a good
[ answer for roll sources, but its a popular discussion item.
