Need MIDI Boards for Air Calliope
By Richard Day

I am building a calliope, air operated, electro-pneumatic. I would
like to be able to operate the calliope automatically using disks,
like the Yamaha Disklavier piano. I have sources for disk readers
that would read MIDI data from a disk but need the "black box" that
translates MIDI into control of individual Note (keys). I hope this
is clear. And I really hope somebody can direct me to plans, a
manufacturer, a web site, a person (within a reasonable distance), etc.
If I can make this work on a 44 note calliope, the next step is a
band organ, which I would also build from scratch.

Thanks for any help you folks can give

[ At least two of our subscribers make such conversion boards.
[ There's other suppliers as well, but I'd like our subscribers
[ who are "in the business" to get the first shot...

[ I do hope you'll keep us apprised of your progress. -- Jody
