Could you build your own using a 1/4 HP motor & a generator from an
old auto?  Maybe you could build a modern converter using a heavy duty
step-down transformer and rectifier circuit similar to Violano
converters. Remember to fuse the circuit. 20 amps can easily start a
fire.
