See the Web Sites, Hear the Sounds
By John Kleinbauer

Hi All, I got a quick note from Hauke Marxsen about the
Deutsches Museum on-line web site. He said to use for English :

    http://www.deutsches-museum.de/e_inhalt.htm

Thanks Hauke!

Today I went back to the search engine Hotbot with the words
"Roller Organ". I found these words last week in MMD. I was shocked,
to say the least, to find a small crank-powered reed organ. The organ
uses a cob instead of a barrel. The design is very similar to the
barrel organ I designed and built. For more info please check out

Site Number One: Todd Augsburger's Roller Organ Page. Nice pictures
and good illustrations.

Site Number Two: Scott Currier's Mechanical Music Menagerie also has
a Gem Roller Organ Page. Nice large clear pictures!

Site Number Three: I now change my search words to "Monkey Organ" with
Hotbot and I find Ragtime Automated Music. There you will find a large
orchestrion for sale for a mere $69,950. There is a nice large
inside view of the orchestrion. And for you MIDI fans there are some
nice large sound files of the unit.

I saw the sites, they didn't see me --
If I get too wise, they will edit me!
