New Mobile Player Piano Service
By Andy Taylor

Hi. After much thought, we have decided to open a new player piano
rebuilding service. The major difference in this one is that it is
completely mobile. I have had the motor home for quite some time that
I use to bring my "piano finds" home. It is just sitting idle here so
I intend to put it to work soon.

But my mobile rebuilding shop is not the motor home. It is the 30-foot
dual-axle travel trailer that I am remodeling right now. In this
trailer I am equipping it to be a player rebuilding shop complete with
all the power tools, etc., and supplies to be able to take on almost
any player or piano I encounter.

I ran this idea past several rebuilders. The response has been from
"great idea" to "you're nuts" (I already knew that). We shall see if
it will work or not.

I know that this project will no doubt draw some chuckles from some
rebuilders. But there is one fact of rebuilding that often stands in
the way of some customers having their unit rebuilt many people would
like to have their piano rebuilt, but are unwilling to ship their
piano. It is a major inconvenience and sometimes risky as well,

I have put up a web page describing our services at:

For the player piano web-masters, I would appreciate a link to this
page. I will do the same. By the way, our entire site will soon be
www.tempola.com (I am finally doing what I should have done from the
start in getting a domain.)
