Severely Cracked Pin Block in Aeolian Grand

I would question whether the pinblock was supported from below when
the new pins were hammered in.  If it was not supported, it could have
delaminated.  Some idea of when the accident occurred might be gained
by looking at the color of the wood inside the cracks, if they are wide
enough.

Sorry, my testimony would not stand up.  I am not a professional.
I only play one on TV (i.e., I previously lived across the street
from Charlie the Tuner).
